Achaaryam launches the free computed kundli

1 July 2026 · 3 min read

From today, anyone can generate a free kundli on Achaaryam. Enter your date, time and place of birth, and the portal computes your janma panchang — the five limbs of the almanac as they stood at the moment you were born — directly from the actual positions of the Sun and the Moon.

We want to be clear about what “computed” means, because the word is used loosely on the internet. Many horoscope sites republish tables prepared elsewhere, or approximate the Moon’s position to the nearest day. Achaaryam calculates the longitudes of the Sun and the Moon for your exact birth moment and derives the panchang from them: the tithi from the angular distance between the two, the nakshatra from the Moon’s position along the ecliptic, and your chandra rashi from the sign the Moon occupied.

What the free kundli includes

The report gives you the janma panchang in full — tithi with its paksha, nakshatra, yoga, karana and the weekday — along with your chandra rashi (Moon sign) and surya rashi (Sun sign). These are the details a purohit asks for before fixing a muhurta, naming a child or beginning any samskara, and most families no longer have them written down anywhere.

Because the calculation runs on our own servers, the kundli is available at any hour, takes seconds, and costs nothing. There is no queue, no callback, and no obligation to buy anything afterwards.

What comes next

Live consultations and chat with astrologers are not yet open on Achaaryam — that service is coming, and we would rather launch it properly, with verified practitioners, than quickly. Until then, the computed kundli, the daily panchang and the rashi guides are free for everyone.

If you have already generated your kundli, keep a note of your janma nakshatra and chandra rashi. Most of traditional prediction — dasha periods, matching, daily rashifal — begins from those two facts, and the articles on this blog will help you read them.
